Is it safe for my family and pets?
Yes. The formula is non-toxic and non-caustic — it works biologically, not chemically. Safe around children and animals, and safe for grass and landscaping over the drain field.
Will it damage my pipes or pump?
No. There is nothing caustic in it. Safe for PVC, ABS and cast iron pipe, effluent pumps, aerators and lift stations. Chemical drain openers are the opposite — they corrode pipe and kill the bacteria your system depends on.
Is it safe with a well?
Yes. It contains no harsh chemicals or solvents that could migrate into groundwater.
How long until I see results?
Most homeowners notice faster drains and less odor within two to four weeks. A badly saturated drain field can take two to three months of consistent treatment to open back up.
How many tablets do I need?
One tablet per month for maintenance — a 20-tablet pouch covers about 10 months. For a sluggish or backing-up system, run the 90-day recovery schedule first, then drop to monthly.
What is the recovery schedule?
One tablet per week for the first 4 weeks, then one every other week for 8 weeks, then back to one per month. That's roughly 30 tablets across the first 90 days, which is why most people start with two pouches.
When is the best time to flush it?
At night, after the household has stopped using water. That gives the tablet undisturbed time to move through the system.
Does it work on aerobic systems?
Yes — it's formulated for both aerobic and anaerobic systems, including aerobic treatment units, conventional gravity systems, pump systems, sand mounds and cesspools.
Will it work on a cesspool or seepage pit?
Yes. The same organic buildup causes the same problem, and the treatment works the same way.
Do I still need to pump my tank?
Yes. Treatment slows how fast solids accumulate, which stretches the interval between pump-outs and lowers your cost per year. It does not replace pumping. Follow your local health department's schedule.
Should I pump before I start treating?
If your tank is overdue, pump first. Starting with a tank full of solids means the treatment spends its first weeks on backlog instead of on your drain field.
What if my drain field has already failed?
If effluent is surfacing in your yard, call a licensed septic professional first. Treatment works on a system that is struggling, not one that has already collapsed — and we would rather tell you that than take your money.
Does bleach affect it?
Normal household use is fine. Heavy bleach and antibacterial cleaner use kills off the bacteria your system runs on, which is one of the most common reasons a tank stops working properly. Monthly treatment replaces what gets killed off.
Can I use it with a garbage disposal?
Yes, and you probably should — disposals push a lot of extra solids into the tank. Just don't treat it as permission to pour grease down the drain.
Is it safe with a water softener?
Yes. Softener discharge doesn't interfere with the bacteria in the tablet.
How should I store the tablets?
Sealed in the pouch, somewhere cool and dry, out of direct sun. Don't store them under a sink where they can absorb humidity.
Is there a smell?
No. The tablets themselves are effectively odorless, and reducing the organic load is what cuts the smell your system has been producing.
How big a system does one tablet treat?
A typical residential system up to about 1,500 gallons. Larger tanks, high-occupancy homes or commercial systems need a heavier schedule — email us with your details and we'll tell you what to run.
